Back when I started business school (for the third time, I might add), my Marketing 101 professor explained to us the psychological dilemma that occurs when a person feels overwhelmed by too many choices: they shut down.
This is where I find myself this evening.
I am a starter of many projects and a finisher of none. I have pages of starts. Tonight, I am paralyzed trying to choose one to continue working on. Perhaps the stars are simply not aligning properly this evening. The moon is in retrograde. Or maybe the inspiration for the piece is gone entirely. Who knows?
It’s moments like these that I wish I had stuck it out for the entire Marketing 101 class, if only to learn a solution to the dilemma of too many choices. Alas, I dropped out. For the third time.
